Hey my dudes! So we all know that this really cool thing happens once winter is over, the people we love start coming to North America to tour! This spring I got to see my FAVORITE group and two really cool artists play! So I'm just gonna jump right into these two totally fun concerts I got to go to. THE 1975 For those of you who know me and know me well, you know that I have LOVED The 1975 for years. My obsession with Matty Healy aka Truman Black started in junior high. Now, for some reason, I have always been busy with something (ex. Club volleyball) when my favorite boys were remotely close to me. BUT, thanks to senior year and no volleyball and mostly free weekends, this year when they came to Tulsa on a Wednesday night, you better believe we got the dang tickets!!! Here are some cool pics from that night/exploring some tiny place in OK the next day. Basically I had the time of my life and I'm SUPER grateful that I experienced this with such a good friend (s/o to you Diana). The 1975 killed it the entire night and while The Brady Center was small, it gave such an intimate feeling of genuine happiness shared by the whole crowd. Khalid and Travis Scott Okay so I have to confess, originally I bought tickets to go see Khalid because he has the voice of an angel and didn't really care about Travis Scott. But man, Travis Scott put on a SHOWWWWW. Sorry I really felt the need to emphasize that. Anyways I enjoyed tickets on the third row of chairs and was content with life under the awning, it was there where I got to listen to Khalid's angel voice sing so many good songs- shot down, location, another sad love song, 8teen, Young dumb broke, American teen, and more - he was such a good performer and I'm so lucky to have seen him before he released dates for The American Teen tour ( since I'm working all the days he comes to Texas and Georgia), Khalid has so much potential and I'm so happy to see him grow. Travis Scott- the man who changed the AMP. No but seriously this dude was so cool. Most of you probably know that he was arrested shortly after the concert for inciting a riot and while that is controversial, one thing is not. He put on a heck of a show from the beginning when he invited the lawn to the pit, forcing me and my boyfriend to stand on our chairs to be able to see Travis Scott, to the end when he sang Goosebumps 15 times!!!! All I can say is that for my first rap concert- this one was a great one.

Hello readers, I never thought that I, of all people, would be the one to get emotional about saying goodbye to such a diffucult stepping stone in my life, but I am. High school has been scary, judgemental, fun, exhausting, but most of all high school has consumed me. From cheering on the bulldogs as we lost another game to playing the sport I love and reletenlessly, unashamedly dressing up for spirit themes and spirit weeks. Springdale High was the place where I played varsity volleyball. It was the place where I met the kindest teachers, hardest coaches, and coolest kids. Springdale made me grow as a student, as a person, and as a player. The way I looked at the world going into sophomore year is no where near how I look at the world now. I am thankful for this. High School showed me my passions, my best friends, my boyfriend, and how to live my life in such an intentional way. These lessons I've learned and these things I have encountered have made it so difficult for me to say goodbye. So I'm going to do it, I'm going to do it quick, goodbye Springdale High, I love you dearly. I know these are a lot of pictures but these are just some of my favorite memories from senior year, btw it feels like yesterday I was blogging about my first day of senior year and I graduate in 2 days?! What???!!!
Pheonix, I love you! From the warm weather to nice house and even nicer people, pheonix you make me whole!
Recently I went on a mission trip to Phoenix Arizona and it was by far one of the coolest experiences ever. 1. kiddos- while I didn't get to meet a lot of kids while working on the church plants I did meet a few and they were the coolest. They have such big hearts and so much love to share 2. Picking up trash- something that I didn't understand at first but picking up trash allowed me to bring so much glory to God! People noticed us and showed us compassion for our efforts. 3. Prayer walking- i admit, I love a good prayer walk but God really tested me because it was HOT, the neighborhoods were mazes, and it was a lot of walking but each house could have so much influence for the kingdom of God so it was definitely worth it. 4. Flyering- spreading awareness about a new church in a highly atheist place is so important but again, it was hot, the neighborhoods were large and I got tired quick but even the smalles t encounters with people gave me the biggest amount of hope. 5. FRIENDSHIP- god gave me the coolest friendships in pheonix. He allowed me to grow closer to such great people and it made me feel so good. I love people and I love to serve people and friendships I made with these sweet people will not fade so PRAISE JESUS. Verse of the week- "For we must remember what he has showed us, with hard work we must help the weak for giving is far greater than recieving"- acts 20:35 |
