hi readers!!! Today I’m sharing one of my FAVORITE outfits from this fall. As questioned in the title of this post, I don’t know if burnt purple is a technical color, but for the purpose of this post it is!! Heres the deal: I love distressed things, like a lot. This “burnt” purple sweater has been worn a lot this fall fashion season. Sweater- Trinkets Boutique Ripped black skinny jeans- Tj Maxx brown suede booties - Dillard’s I hope you all enjoy this look as much as I do!! Hi friends,
This is a different topic for me and I know this isn’t a side I normally portray myself as having. But, over the past couple of days I have realized more than ever how important it is to be human. Being human isn’t all sunshine and happinesss and success, being human can be these things but it is also feeling human emotions. This includes sadness. So, firstly IT IS OKAY TO BE SAD. Growing up I hated being sad or admitting to feelings of sadness, I did not want anyone to know whenever I was hurt. Here are some of my favorite things to do whenever I am emotionally drained ( which happens quite often here in college lol) 1. Turn on my string lights - okay I know this sounds weird but changing my lighting helps my mood so much!! 2. Reading- I love to read and reading helps give me a BREAK from being online or on my phone. 3. Exercise- I love going on runs, going to yoga, or even just going to the gym with a gal pal just to get away for a bit. 4. Pop a face mask on- for some reason, whenever I’m sad, I get really into skin care and putting on a face mask just helps me feel more relaxed. 5. Get out of the house- I love spending time with friends and hanging out with them can be such a stress reliever, but I also love going out alone because alone time is important. 6. Spending time alone- it is valid to understand why you are feeling what you are feeling, so spending time alone and trying to figure it out, is reasonable. 7. Listen to some bops- play your favorite playlists and get your mind off of what’s bothering you. 8. Make some tea - my favorite tea is honey vanilla camomille and it basically tastes like stress relief. 9. Do something creative - one upside to allowing yourself to feel is that you get to be more creative!! I recommend painting, drawing, writing, doing whatever you need to do. 10. Look at my inspo board - well, it’s more like a board but it’s nice to be able to remind myself why I shouldn’t lose motivation. |
