HI GUYS! School approaching is an exciting time but is also a time of mourning when it comes to saying goodbye to my Multi-drawer vanity. So from my 5 years of school volleyball and 2 years of PE I've come up with a pretty good list of locker room essentials to make life easier.
1. Makeup Wipes - when getting ready in a rush makeup wipes are a lifesaver. 2. Q tips - if you don't have makeup wipes, these work great and especially well for small makeup mistakes. 3. Shower shoes - kind of self explanatory. Trust me, no matter how clean you think your locker room is, do not take the chance of going barefoot. 4. Dry shampoo - life saver. Let's face the facts, there will be days when you won't have time to wash your hair after practice and dry shampoo works wonders. 5. lotion/ perfume/ deodorant - this is also self explanatory, but you will feel better if you feel like you smell cleaner.

I have had a heart for traveling for as long as I can remember. I love it. So it didn't come to a shock to me that when I heard that my church was having a student mission trip that I felt God pushing me to expand my horizons and step out of my comfort zone. I took this picture while riding my very first subway train! It was such a cool experience because while just walking through the station I heard language after language and saw so much diversity, it was like a melting pot! i took this at Together2016. I was amazed by the amount of christians that had flooded the national mall. This is where I decided that Jesus can do amazing things for our nation! im trying to keep this as short as possible but let me just say this; if you find yourself in Washington DC, take advantage of all of the smithsonian museums, they are amazing. like i said before; The smithsonian is an amazing experience. let me just explain something. At this very moment at Arlington National Cemetery, my heart was overflowing with gratitude and for once in my life I felt truly humbled. I can't express how overwhelming and beautiful it was seeing the graves of such devout soldiers who lived and died for their country, America I love you. This right here will always be one of my favorite memories from Washington DC. We had helped a local church with a block party to conclude their VBS. It was fun because I spent the whole night playing soccer with little kids just like this one. Meet Jacavari. He was hilarious, upbeat, and full of love. This boy demanded that I should play with him, so I played soccer with him. He was so kind and when I asked him what he wanted to do in life he just said " I want to make people smile", Jacavari you are the epitome of a shinning light. I think it's kind of ironic because before going on my first mission trip I had the ideal that i was going to work in people's lives and what really happened was Washington DC worked in my life. My biggest take away from Washington DC was learning the important lesson that consists of this: you're very best friends in life will be your Christian ones. I am so thankful that I found such a godly group of girls to live my life with. Washington DC, you will forever hold a sweet place in my heart,
