its been a good month and a half since session 7 of Camp War Eagle and I'm just now getting around to writing this blog post. Typical. Anyways this past summer I spent 8 weeks experiences the camp life and it was the best 8 weeks of my life. In fact, the longer I have been in college the more I have missed camp. Camp taught me so much as a LIT. I learned to depend on my friends and fellow LIT/JSWAT members to help me out when I felt inadequate. I learned that spending time without a phone didn't kill me. I learned how to lead how Christ lead and love people how Jesus loves me, This past summer I had to fully trust in God and it was honestly harder than I thought it would be. Camp meant so much to me as a kid and lemme tell ya, my love for camp definitely hasn't stopped but has grown.
Hi my name is Sarah Coleman and Fall is my favorite season. Although I love fall for practically hundreds of reasons , I'm only going to share ten. So here we go:
1. pumpkin patches- perfect for pictures perfect for a fun day out, only seasonal so you gotta load up on all of the pumpkins while you can. 2. Leaves changing- Leaves changing colors feels like comfort to me. A cozy bliss to represent the start of holiday season. 3. Bonfires- fire keeping you warm and the people you love surrounding you. I've had some of the best conversations huddled around a fire making smores with friends. 4. Flannels- a fashion staple. Flannels tied around your waist flannels used as cardigans, flannels work for literally everyone. 5. Pumpkin Spice- pumpkin spice candles, pumpkin spice lattes, pumpkin spice pasteries. pumpkin spice feels like fall and fall feels good. 6. Cool air- the lowering of the temperature outside after blazing heat feels so calming to me. My favorite weather is cool weather. 7. Halloween- from dressing up and going trick or treating to growing up to give out candy, I am now at the point in my life where I dress for costume parties, being someone else for a night can be so much fun. 8. ABC's 13 nights of Halloween- I absolutely love reliving my childhood by watching twitches and hocus pocus several times over the course of two weeks. 9. Cornmazes, hayrides, haunted houses, scary stories- I love going out for a night expecting to be frightened. As a child I always looked forward to Nightmares Haunted House, if you are local to NWA, check it out!!! It is a fundraiser and it is honestly the best haunted house I have ever been to, 10. Thanksgiving - Once again, one of my favorite holidays. Macy's Thanksgiving Parade, turkey, football, family, dessert. I love spending a day with my family without any distractions. |
